Agarwood Series

Agarwood, also known as oud, oodh, agar, aloeswood or lign-aloes, is a dark resinous heartwood that forms in Aquilaria and Gyrinops trees (large evergreens native to southeast Asia) when they become infected with a type of mould. Prior to infection, the heartwood is odourless, relatively light and pale coloured; however, as the infection progresses, the tree produces a dark aromatic resin in response to the attack, which results in a very dense, dark, resin embedded heartwood. The resin embedded wood is commonly called gaharu, jinko, aloeswood, oud, or agarwood (not to be confused with bukhoor) and is valued in many cultures for its distinctive fragrance, and thus is used for incense and perfumes.

Agarwood known as "the diamond wood", gathers the aura of heaven and earth, condenses the essence of the sun and the moon. It has been loved by the world for thousands of years.
Agarwood itself is an extremely precious medicinal material and can also be used in perfumery. With its own aura and strong magnetic field, it has been listed as the head of the four famous fragrant (沉檀龙麝) since ancient times, and its scent is the only accessible through the five major religions of the world (Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity, Catholicism, Islam). Aura of the "Three Realms" has a very high religious status.
Agarwood products are often regarded as holy relics from town houses to avoid evil. They are used to prolong life and are an excellent treasure that can be passed down forever. Agarwood is considered stimulant, antiasthmatic, carminative, tonic, aphrodisiac and astringent. It is used in diarrhoea, dysentery, gout, rheumatism and numbness.

沉香味辛、性温，主治风水毒肿，去恶气。据《本草纲目》记载，沉香可治上下热寒，气逆喘急，大肠虚闭，小便气淋，男子精冷。亦可清人神，诸疮肿，补脾胃，暖腰膝，益气和神，益精壮阳。
